About exe

  • Established in 1995, the original aim of EXE was to provide a service for organisations with a significant IT project to be delivered, but without an available senior IT manager to assign to it.

It has always been important to us to avoid the role of the typical consultancy advising what ought to be done while avoiding the realities of actual delivery, or of the supplier that will understand a requirement only so far as is required to sell their product or service. All of our team have previously worked in significant positions in internal IT teams, so in addition to understanding the relevant current methodologies such as Prince, ITIL and Agile, we all also understand the practicalities of ‘real world’ delivery.

Since 1995 the growth of the Interim market and the number of consultancies and suppliers now promising to act as ‘an extension of your own IT team’ suggests the original idea is now common, but we remain confident that our track record gained across many very different projects and organisations demonstrates that we continue to offer an unusually effective and independent service.

    • TRAVEL

    • TELCOS

    • ENGINEERING

Projects have been successfully delivered for both commercial and third sector organisations, large and not so large, and across sectors such as Leisure, Engineering and Telcos, with a particular depth of experience in Travel driven by the background of several members of the team.

The Projects themselves are similarly diverse, such as re-engineering major websites for scalability, setting up new data centres and call centres, managing IT integrations arising from company mergers, as well as many more specific projects such as troubleshooting and optimising routing and billing for a telco, implementing new yield systems for a tour operator, agreeing and implementing new business and support processes for the introduction of new systems and the performance testing of specific systems.
